Whilst this is essentially a book on the Futter family, there are numerous other families included.  My own particular "line" is that of the Settler's son William Futter and his two wives and 19 children!  This has resulted in the very complex and fascinating links between the FUTTERS and the JAMES families. The Futters are also very closely linked to the following families: BARTLETT, FLANEGAN, ACTON, WHITTAL - as well as many others. Ours is a truly remarkable Family Tree with many, many branches!     

 

GENERAL BOOK INFORMATION:

1. The book is 267 pages in length and the Hard Cover version is quality bound with a gold leafed title. Cost: R650 excluding postage.

2. The Paper Back version (to make the book more affordable to folks) has an attractively designed cover. Cost R350 excluding postage.

4. The book is entirely different from the 1997 book which I produced, which numerous family members will have seen. It contains more than 1200 photos with far superior quality and an additional more than 600 plus names.  There are wonderful stories and anecdotes from many different sources - some tragic, some remarkable and some very amusing. (There are no copies of the 1997 book available.)

5. Both books are printed in black and white by necessity due to cost, although the hard back features a colour plate as the front page. The paperback features a colour front and back.

4. Whilst it has been impossible to include an index in the book, an updated one will be included on this website for you to browse at your leisure.

5. I have include a list of photographs and a clear table of contents in the book to ensure easier reference. You can easily check if your photo is in the book and refer to interesting events.
